NMX Live – It’s Covered

Register Now for NMX 2014 in Las Vegas, Jan 4-6! BlogWorld [now known as NMX] and I go way, way back. All the way to the beginning in 2007 when I wrote a post about becoming an expert on LinkedIn that won me a pass and a hotel room. Only lacking airfare, I flew out and began a fascination with a new group of folks I quickly fell in love with: bloggers. Here’s one of my favorite moments that happened at the first Blog World in 2007 with the Queen of the Blogosphere, Liz Strauss.

Thanks to Liz Strauss for digging up the key/link to her writing tools treasure chest. Stepping in – literally – at the last minute thanks to the suggestion of Wendy PiersallLiz Strauss gracefully greeted her confused attendees by starting out with, “I’m not Brian Clark.”

And, so I went back again and again, and found great takeaways every year – including the charge to start Social Media Club Chicago in 2008.

But then I found so many conferences in Chicago that I stayed home to learn.  Besides, most of the speakers came through at one time or another.

Since 2009 I’ve been missing going to BlogWorld, now known as New Media Expo.  Last year I had a pass, but took a pass on going to attend to pressing client issues.

And in 2011, I had three other Las Vegas show to get to. Along the way, I attended a few virtual keynotes. Inspired by Scott Monty‘s 2013 keynote, I researched the stats in his presentation about marketing to millennials and referred to the post continually throughout 2013.

Conference Coverage Coming Your Way from NMX Live

Wishing for a way to escape the Chicago winter and reconvene with the social media set at CES, Affiliate Summit West or NMX, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from NMX offering me a press pass.

After checking airfares and hotel rates, I accepted the offer. It’s kind of like going back to homecoming after you’ve been away for a few years. Looking forward to bringing you conference coverage via Instagram, Google Plus, twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and of course, wiredPRworks.

Thanks so much to the NMX conference team for reaching out to me. I can’t wait to reconnect with this crowd again!
