It’s not every day that I get asked to speak somewhere as fun as Lincoln Park Zoo.
But, that’s where I’ll be on August 21.
My challenge? Taking meeting planners on a social media safari. What better place to do that than at Lincoln Park Zoo?
One of the nation’s oldest zoos housing 1200 animals representing 230 species, Lincoln Park Zoo is a Chicago treasure and the site of MPI Chicago’s August Zoofari event.
Disclosure: I am an MPI member and serve on the Meeting Planners International Chicago Area Chapter MarComm committee as a liaison to Ed Programs and EdCon.
Although the social media safari knowledge share that I’ll be facilitating is sold out, tickets are still available for the roving networking reception. Thanks so much to the Ed Programs committee for asking me to lead the session. Here’s a program description from the registration site.

The roving reception adventure will begin at the Regenstein Center for African Apes where you will get face-to-face with Lincoln Park Zoo’s famous gorillas and chimpanzees that can be seen climbing trees, nesting in the mulch and interacting with fellow apes in natural indoor and outdoor habitats. The networking expedition will continue as MPI-CAC guests make their way to Café Brauer, a true Chicago treasure. Social Media Safari: It’s a Jungle Out There!
Due to limited seating, session registration required for entry. SOLD OUT
Join MPI Chicago on a fast-paced social media knowledge safari 1 hour prior to the networking event. With Barbara Rozgonyi as our tour guide, we’ll stop at top destinations and then detour to visit some lesser known, but highly effective, social media watering holes for meeting planners. Bring your questions to ask, or your best social media stories to share, in our community conversation all along the way. You’ll depart equipped with a knowledge passport that gives you broader access into the social media world.
What animals must you see when you visit the zoo?
