Charming 1920s Cape Cod Renovation – Project Profile – Image Attached

The homeowners wanted to remain in the home and turn their pass-through kitchen into a space with ample storage and enough room to cook, chat and serve as the heart of the home for this busy family of five.

The family also wanted to create a less intrusive “walkway” between the basement stairs and the living room than through the middle of the kitchen, gain a pantry, and with all of this, bring in some “interesting” features.

Window openings to the dining room, a new pantry area, an open bookcase for cookbooks, and a corner for a message center complete with a framed corkboard transformed this kitchen from frustrating to functional. Dark chocolate glass backsplash tiles, walnut bead board accents and pendant lights hung at different heights complete the jewelry of the kitchen and add just the unique design features the family had hoped for.

Airy and Elegant Kitchen Remodel – Project Profile

A designer’s dream to work with, these homeowners were vibrant, open to change and knew what they wanted – a night and day transformation.

Staying within the existing kitchen’s footprint, the new plan added space by altering the layout, relocating the cooking center, and removing a pantry.

In contrast to the original dark and heavy kitchen, the new kitchen is light, airy and uplifting. A soft gray glaze warns the white Grabill cabinets. A night and day transformation, the minute you walk into the space you have a feeling of fresh, airy and so elegant.

Multi-Course Gourmet Reception Celebrates National Kitchen and Bath Month

Gourmet Reception Hours: 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Drury Design is proud to be the event’s presenting sponsor as well as the After Walk Gourmet Reception host. SubZero and Wolf Corporate Chef, Craig Bell, will present an early fall harvest flavors menu. Chef Bell brings a broad range of culinary experience and insight to the kitchen. Becoming a master of the art of barbequing from the legendary BBQ pit masters of Memphis Tennesee, Chef Bell carries his Southern influence in his delicious dishes.
