A new service, List and Found, gives businesses on a budget a way to compete online – for $14.99 per month or $149.99 per year – by placing their profile in local search engines and yellow pages directories.
According to List and Found’s press release, "every second, an average of 634 local searches are completed, and an estimated 20 billion local searches will be made by the end of 2006.* Studies show that 60 percent of all purchases that begin with online research end at a local store offline. But with so many search options on the Internet, businesses often get lost in the process."
Although I don’t have a List and Found account, we frequently recommend this type of service to small business and organizations. List and Found is an easy way for small businesses who don’t have a web site to stake out their local claim on the web and raise their offline profile to online audiences by consolidating submission and entry into one interface.
