UPDATE Thanks to everyone for their interest! With severe Inclement weather on the way, we’ve decided to cancel the event. Who would want to go out in this???
The National Weather Service is warning that an approaching cold front could produce wind gusts of 70 mph or greater and “possibly a tornado” as it collides with the steamy air over the Chicago area. There could be hail up to 2 inches in diameter and “torrential rain.”
The powerful line of storms is expected to move into the Chicago area around 5 or 6 p.m. and stick around until 10 p.m., according to the Chicago Weather Center.
