CONVERGE Chicago Bears B2B and B2B Marketing

ISSMM Converge Chicago Founders with Social Media Club Chicago

Sometimes it takes an outsider to bring Chicago together. CONVERGE Chicago, a conference hosted by the Institute for Social Search Mobile Marketing [ISSMM], will convene on October 1-2, 2012 at the Union League Club.

Kudos to the organizers on presenting a list of who’s who in top B2B and B2C companies. I’m looking forward to attending and speaking at the conference about 3D Marketing on October 2.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting up with CONVERGE Chicago conference organizers over lunch in San Francisco. That’s me with Pat Murphy and Ed Lohmann of ISSMM, along with Kristie Wells, founder of Social Media Club, and Carlos Hernandez, a San Francisco social media consultant.

Pat and Ed shared the background and vision for the CONVERGE Chicago conference.

Pat said, “Make no mistake, this conference is not a Social Media ‘Variety Show’ or ‘Pundit Fest’— CONVERGE features industry branding practitioners providing real-world, branding business cases. Specifically, those that enhance both the brand engagement with consumers and ultimately drive bottom-line P&L statements. You’ll be able to meet, network and create a face-to-face dialogue with your business peers—with business acumen in branding, marketing, product management, consumer insights, social media, mobile and digital marketing, customer retention, public relations/communications and HR recruitment.”
