It’s finally here! August 24 is the official book launch for Success Secrets of the Social Media Marketing Superstars. With over 20 authors, including me – “Barbara Rozgonyi – as the LinkedIn author [book excerpt], the book reads like an essence of success compilation. Lead author and online marketing master Mitch Meyerson and I got to meet up when he was here in Chicago in June.
Although I’ve been mentioned in two books, this is the first book I’ve ever co-authored. As a co-author, you get to contribute. You, probably, like me, don’t get paid. You get a byline and a door open to publicity from making the inner circle, which in this case is truly humbling for me.
I’ll get to that part in a minute, but first I want to make one thing clear: everyone is a superstar at something.
Although this blog and my twitter account make powerful lists, I am not a superstar or a rock star or even kind of a big deal – unless you say so.
I invite you to compare any of my social media profiles to others that are out there. You’ll see that I am not into amassing masses of fans. It’s okay with me if people go that route. I’m thinking that being in this book might swell my followers so if you read this in a few months, my follower count may be dfferent than it is today. While I welcome new connections, the purpose of the relationships for me is to connect more people to information, to each other and to ways to improve business and life. So, that’s my “superstar” platform.
