One mega to-do list. What to check off? Maybe as important, what to leave off? Watch 20,000 product launches. Catch celebrity appearances like Lady Gaga and 50 cent. Trek through 1.4 million square feet of exhibits.  And watch skydivers jump off the Stratosphere as I’m doing while I write this post. CES 2011 Cooking with Connectivity

“Sears sells appliances – why are you here?” That’s the question I got, more often than not, here at CES.

Electronics? Sears? Yes and yes.

As a member of Sears Blue Blogger Crew, convened by Sears Electronics, my assignment covered technology and social media for marketing and PR practitioners, families with multi-offices and small business. Appliances? While most every one of my readers have them, this isn’t the place you come to for advice. Yet, what you may not know is I’ve been covering and writing about appliances in kitchen design for years. Social Media Twigs from the CES Tweet House

Searching for the social media scene at CES, I found the Tweet House track. Here’s an image from one of the two sessions I attended. Tweet House speakers Angela LoSasso, David Armano, Jeffrey Hayzlett and moderator Steve Broback focused on social media tools and techniques for organizations. A social media super power panel, this is a quartet that could pack a room anywhere else. About half the room was full. Steve Broback talked about twitter tools in his presentation on Monitoring and Mining Social Data: Staying on Top of the Conversation. Here’s a list of the ones I caught. CES 2011 Sears Blue Blogger Crew Day Two Recap

Wired PR Works CES 2011 is brought to you by Sears Electronics. As a member of Sears Blue Blogger Crew, I am part of a team that gets exclusive access to industry information. A highlight, for me, was a one on one interview with Karen Austin, president, consumer electronics for Sears Holdings Corporation. In her position, Austin oversees the consumer electronics business for both Sears and Kmart.
