You seem to be very effective in your online presence without being too intrusive (i.e., too many twitter postings and other updates clogging things up).

How do you strike the balance between posting and updating your gentle readers and correspondents frequently enough and posting too much, too often?  

How do you tailor your postings to each channel that you use? And is there one central &quot;launching point&quot; where you post all your updates so all your channels broadcast them per your settings?
